Mrs. Odle

I'm Mrs. Odle.  I returned to teaching after taking some time to raise my children and care for my grandmother.  I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education with  Mathematics/Science and Language Arts/Social Studies endorsements from Northern Illinois University.

            My Objective

To encourage student growth by fostering a learning environment that enables students to learn cognitively and physically at the K-12 grade level. To create lifelong learners and critical thinkers who love to read and solve problems.

            Behavior Management                       Philosophy

In my classroom, student behavior is managed through positive reinforcement, fostering character education, and delivering clear expectations. Teachers and students are equally responsible for behavior management. My classroom has an atmosphere where good behavior is celebrated and poor behavior is addressed. Students who demonstrate positive behavior will be highlighted as model students.  As students see positive behavior being highlighted more, they will emulate this behavior. The most important aspect of my behavior management plan is that students know I care for them inside and outside of the classroom. As I am invested in their lives, they will be invested in my classroom.
